SWM MOTORS TÜRKİYE TO START LOCAL PRODUCTION IN SEPTEMBER

With SWM Motors introducing Türkiye’s most accessible SUV models to the market, ATMO Group has accelerated its investment efforts through a joint venture with Urzema Holding.
SWM Türkiye, which decided to begin production in the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) via Urzat Otomotiv A.Ş. — a joint venture between ATMO Group and Urzema Holding — plans to roll out its first locally produced model this fall.

SWM Türkiye Commercial Director Burak Azmanoğlu stated that comprehensive feasibility and technical studies were conducted before choosing Eskişehir as the production location:
“Eskişehir is both a symbolic and strategic city in Türkiye’s automotive history. It is a great source of pride for us to start producing our G01 Pro model here, which has been specially developed to meet the expectations and needs of Turkish consumers.
The G01 Pro will mark a turning point for our brand — not only through its technology but also through this major production decision,” he said.

Urzema Holding CEO Murat Ertaş added:
“Eskişehir is the right address with its industrial culture, logistical advantages, and skilled workforce. Conducting assembly, quality control, and testing of SWM vehicles in Eskişehir OIZ will be a strong indicator that the city’s automotive industry is coming to life again.
These vehicles will be produced in Türkiye, designed for Turkish consumers’ needs and expectations. Our initial goal is to reach an annual production of 25,000 units, but we will not stop there — capacity expansion is also part of our plans.
For us, Eskişehir will not only be a production base but also a center for technology and innovation,” he emphasized.

As one of the world’s leading international automotive sales and distribution companies, ATMO Group is accelerating its investments in Türkiye, following its entry into the market in 2023 with SWM Motors.
Aiming to expand internationally as a Türkiye-based company, ATMO Group recently established Urzat Otomotiv A.Ş., a joint venture with Urzema Holding, to carry out local vehicle production.
The partnership with Urzema Holding — one of Türkiye’s most established industrial organizations — has now finalized the production location.

Within this framework, SWM Türkiye will begin production through Urzat Otomotiv A.Ş. at the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ).

The Process Is Progressing Rapidly!

Stating that a preliminary agreement was reached toward the end of 2024, Burak Azmanoğlu shared details about the process:
“On the production side, Urzema Holding will take the lead, and our vehicles will be manufactured at their facilities.
ATMO will continue its distributorship operations. Both ATMO and our Chinese partner SWM see great potential in the Turkish market.
Türkiye, with more than one million vehicle sales, has become a significant market. We started this journey by asking how we could create added value in this market — and we have now reached a milestone that is very valuable for our country.”

Emphasizing that the process is progressing faster than expected, Azmanoğlu added:
“As SWM, ATMO, and Urzema Holding, we began this project with the same vision and belief. Our work started in July–August 2023, and as of today, we are in the final stages.
We aim to introduce the G01 Pro model, specially developed for Türkiye, to Turkish consumers this fall. We are also planning to include new models in production in the coming period,” he said.

A Major Contribution to Türkiye’s Economy!

The Eskişehir production hub will serve not only the domestic market but also export operations.
Azmanoğlu stated:
“Currently, our G01 model is already available in Türkiye. The locally produced G01 Pro will enter the market with a new interior design, advanced technology, and enhanced engine-transmission options.
Our export infrastructure work is also ongoing. ATMO Group is already active in the Balkans and Europe, making it possible to position Türkiye as an export hub.
This initiative will bring substantial added value to Türkiye’s economy,” he concluded.

Strong Demand for New Dealerships!

Highlighting the brand’s rapid growth in Türkiye, Burak Azmanoğlu stated:
“With local production, our domestic sales volumes will increase rapidly. Accordingly, we are expanding our dealership network. Following the decision to begin production in Türkiye, we have seen a significant rise in new dealership applications.
However, we are proceeding with great care to maintain the high level of service quality we offer.
Our goal is to accelerate growth with strong and visionary dealers. We aim to provide our customers with exceptional sales and after-sales services across every region of Türkiye.
In this regard, we plan to more than double our dealership network by the end of the year.”

The Automotive Industry in Eskişehir Will Rise Again!

Urzema Holding CEO Murat Ertaş emphasized the strategic importance of Eskişehir, stating:
“When making our investment decision in Türkiye, we carried out a long and detailed evaluation process.
Eskişehir stood out with its transportation infrastructure, industrial heritage, supplier strength, and qualified workforce.
The fact that assembly, quality control, and testing of SWM Türkiye’s internal combustion and electric vehicles will take place here shows that Eskişehir will once again play a pioneering role in the automotive industry.
For us, this city is not only a production hub but also the heart of technology and innovation.
Many important models will be produced at the facilities we are establishing.
Eskişehir will add value to us, and we will add value to Eskişehir,” he said.
