INVESTMENT DECISION IN ESKIŞEHIR BOOSTS DEALERSHIP DEMAND

Entering the Turkish market in 2023, Chinese automaker SWM has launched a new wave of investments. After initiating its sales operations with ATMO Group, the brand established Urzat Otomotiv A.Ş. in partnership with Urzema Holding. It subsequently decided to begin production at the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ).

SWM Türkiye Commercial Director Burak Azmanoğlu stated, “Our work began in July–August 2023. We aim to introduce the G01 Pro model, developed specifically for Türkiye, to local consumers this autumn. We are also planning to include other models in production in the coming period.”

Azmanoğlu noted that this decision will have a positive impact on domestic sales figures and added:
“Accordingly, we are expanding our dealer network. Following the production decision in Türkiye, we have seen a significant increase in dealership requests. However, we are proceeding carefully to maintain our high service standards. By the end of the year, we plan to more than double our dealership network.”

The Eskişehir production base will not only serve the domestic market but also support exports. Azmanoğlu explained:
“Currently, our G01 model is available in Türkiye. The locally produced G01 Pro will enter the market with a redesigned interior, new technology, and an upgraded engine-transmission system. On the export side, our infrastructure work continues. ATMO Group is already active across the Balkans and Europe, which makes it feasible to position Türkiye as an export hub. This initiative will provide significant added value to the Turkish economy.”

ESKİŞEHİR — THE IDEAL LOCATION

Urzema Holding CEO Murat Ertaş emphasized Eskişehir’s strategic importance, stating:
“We conducted a long and detailed evaluation process before making our investment decision in Türkiye. Eskişehir stood out with its transportation infrastructure, industrial heritage, supplier network, and skilled workforce. The assembly, quality control, and testing of SWM Türkiye’s combustion and electric vehicle models will all take place here.”
