Assembly Production of the Affordable SUV G01 Pro Planned at Eskişehir OIZ
Chinese automaker SWM Motors has announced that production will begin in September. SWM Motors and ATMO Group—which offers some of Türkiye’s most affordable SUV models—have revealed plans to establish an assembly line in Eskişehir through a joint venture with Urzema Holding.
SWM Türkiye Commercial Director Burak Azmanoğlu stated, “We plan to manufacture our G01 Pro model—specially developed to meet the expectations and needs of Turkish consumers—at the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ). ATMO will continue to operate as the distributor. Both ATMO and our Chinese partner SWM have strong faith in Türkiye. Our goal is to start production this autumn, and additional models are already being considered for the near future.”
Second Phase in 2026
Urzema Holding CEO Murat Ertaş added, “Initially, we are targeting an annual production capacity of 25,000 units, but this figure will not remain fixed. In the first year, we expect to employ around 40–45 people, increasing to 100 by 2026. With the second-phase investment, we plan to create employment opportunities for approximately 1,500 to 2,000 people. The project currently foresees a production capacity reaching between 200,000 and 250,000 vehicles per year by 2028.”
